Common Symptoms of Hydraulic Oil Filter Blockage
Abnormal pressure: The pressure of the hydraulic system usually increases due to the blockage of the filter element. When monitoring the pressure, the operator may find that the reading of the pressure gauge exceeds the normal range. This is because the flow of hydraulic oil is blocked, resulting in increased pressure.
Increased noise: When the hydraulic oil filter element is blocked, the oil pump will increase the operation force to overcome the resistance, thereby making abnormal noise. In this case, the sound of the equipment operation is usually noisier than usual.
Unstable operation: During the operation of the hydraulic system, unstable phenomena such as up and down vibration and shaking may occur. This may be due to the blockage of the filter element, resulting in poor oil flow, affecting the normal operation of the system.
Temperature increase: The heat generated by the hydraulic oil during the flow process cannot be effectively dissipated due to the blockage of the filter element, resulting in an increase in the temperature of the hydraulic oil, and may even cause a fire hazard.
Oil leakage: As the filter element is blocked, the pressure in the oil circuit increases abnormally, which may cause the oil seal to fail, resulting in oil leakage, increasing the cost of equipment maintenance.
Reasons For Blockage of Hydraulic Oil Filter Element:
Poor hydraulic oil quality: Using inferior or old hydraulic oil will increase the content of impurities and sediments in the oil, which will cause the filter element to clog.
Improper maintenance: Regular inspection and replacement of filter elements are important links to ensure the normal operation of the hydraulic system. Ignoring this point can easily lead to excessive accumulation of pollutants in the filter element.
Environmental factors: Pollution in the working environment of the hydraulic system, such as dust, tiny metal chips, etc., will enter the system through the hydraulic oil and deposit on the filter element.
Improper use: Frequent hydraulic system start and stop, overload operation, etc. will accelerate the deterioration of hydraulic oil and cause early clogging of the filter element.
