Application of metal sintered filter element in high temperature dust removal

2025-07-09

Common Types of Sintered Filter Elements

Sintered filters are primarily categorized by their base material and structure:

  1. By Material:

    • Metal Sintered Filters: The most prevalent type.

      • Stainless Steel (SS 304, 316, 316L): Excellent corrosion resistance, high strength, wide temp range. Most common.

      • Bronze: Good corrosion resistance (non-acidic), lower cost than SS.

      • Titanium: Excellent corrosion resistance, biocompatible, lightweight.

    • Plastic Sintered Filters:

      • Polyethylene (PE): Chemically resistant, economical, lower temperature limit.

      • Polypropylene (PP): Higher temp than PE, good chemical resistance.

      • PTFE (Teflon): Exceptional chemical inertness, hydrophobic, high temp.

    • Ceramic Sintered Filters: Used for very high temperatures or extreme chemical environments (e.g., alumina, silicon carbide).

Application fields:
‌ Iron and steel mills ‌: used for blast furnace gas purification and converter flue gas treatment to help achieve dust emission standards. ‌
‌ Cement plants ‌: used in kiln tail flue gas dust removal systems to ensure dust control of production lines. ‌
‌ Thermal power plants ‌: reduce pollutant emissions in the boiler flue gas dust removal process. ‌
‌ Petrochemicals ‌: remove oil mist and organic waste gas in catalytic cracking units to prevent equipment corrosion. ‌

Technical advantages:
‌ High temperature resistance ‌: can operate stably in high temperature environments of hundreds of degrees Celsius without the need for cooling equipment. ‌
‌ High-precision filtration ‌: effectively intercept PM2.5 and even smaller particles, with a filtration accuracy of 2-200μm. ‌
‌ High mechanical strength ‌: resistant to high pressure and wear, adaptable to complex industrial environments. ‌
‌ Corrosion resistance ‌: resist acid, alkali and corrosive gases, and extend service life. ‌

Performance characteristics
‌ High-efficiency separation ‌: a uniform pore structure is formed through the sintering process to achieve gas-solid separation. ‌
‌Easy to clean‌: supports multiple maintenance methods such as backflow cleaning and ultrasonic cleaning to reduce operating costs. ‌
‌Long life‌: strong dirt holding capacity, longer replacement cycle than ordinary filter materials. ‌
