Oil mist separator is a device used to separate oil mist in compressed air. Its working principle is to intercept, adsorb, and condense oil particles in the air through a special fiber layer on the inner side of the filter element, in order to achieve the purpose of separating oil mist.
Specifically, when compressed air enters from the inlet of the oil mist separator, it passes through the inside of the filter element and then flows outward. During this process, oil particles entering the fiber layer will be intercepted by their motion inertia and collide with each other or with multiple layers of fibers, being adsorbed by the fibers. Smaller particles will be absorbed by the fiber, and gradually become liquid as they flow outward, eventually agglomerate on the surface of the special foam plastic layer, flow to the bottom of the cup under the action of gravity and be discharged.
The working principle of the oil mist separator is simple and efficient, which can effectively separate the oil mist in compressed air, improve the quality of compressed air, and ensure the normal operation of the equipment.
