The Custom Polyester Fabric Air Filter Element 133×936 is a high-capacity cylindrical filtration cartridge engineered for industrial dust collection systems, baghouse retrofits, and high-volume particulate control applications. This pleated polyester filter element is purpose-built to your exact specifications, delivering the filtration area, efficiency, and durability that standard off-the-shelf cartridges cannot provide.
Within a pulse-jet dust collector, dirty air flows from the outside through the pleated media to the inside. Dust particles are captured on the outer surface, forming a filter cake that actually aids in finer particle capture. Clean air exits through the center tube. Periodically, a high-pressure blast of compressed air pulses through from the inside, flexing the media and knocking off the accumulated dust cake, which falls into a hopper for disposal

FAQ
Q1: Can this filter capture submicron particles like welding fume or pharmaceutical dust?
A: Standard polyester (spunbond or felt) captures down to 1‑3 microns with ~95‑98% efficiency, but not submicron particles. For submicron capture (0.2‑2 μm) at 99.99% efficiency, you need a PTFE membrane laminated to the polyester. The membrane also prevents sticky dust from blinding the filter.
Q2: Is polyester resistant to moisture and hydrolysis?
A: Polyester has good moisture resistance, but hydrolysis (chemical breakdown from high heat + high humidity + alkaline conditions) will destroy it. Keep below 100°C in wet, alkaline environments. For continuous wet or acidic service, switch to PTFE or PPS.
Q3. Can I clean and reuse this cartridge, or is it disposable?
A: Polyester cartridges are disposable. In-service pulse cleaning removes surface dust, but you should never wash or water-clean them – water causes shrinkage and hydrolysis damage. Replace when pressure drop stays high after pulsing or visible dust emission occurs.
